一、申請資格：
(一)國內經政府立案之公私立國小、國中、高中（職）在學學生(不含五專生及夜校生)。
(二)家境清寒具有中低收入戶、低收入戶或其他清寒證明。
(三)國小、國中、高中(職)前一學年度全學年(含上、下學期)學業成績，公立在80分以上，私立在85分以上者。
(四)孝行須符合我國固有倫理道德之精神，有下列具體之事蹟：
1.能長期協助家務，照護老殘幼小，親侍久病未癒之尊親屬，經年如一而無怨尤者。
2.謹身節用，刻苦奮鬥，盡力侍奉父母及尊親屬，深得里鄰讚佩者。
3.克盡孝道，助人行孝，糾正社會不良風氣，感化頑劣有具體事蹟者。
4.其他對待尊長之行為，符合我國固有倫理道德之精神要求，足以導引人心，見賢思齊者。
二、獎助金額︰
(一)高中(職)學生：經審核通過後，每名發放新臺幣1萬元整。
(二)國中學生：經審核通過後，每名發放新臺幣6,000元整。
(三)國小學生：經審核通過後，每名發放新臺幣5,000元整。
三、申請方式：
(一)一律由學校提出申請，不接受個人申請
(二)請學校於105年9月30日前，備妥下列申請(證明)文件，並請依下列順序裝訂後，掛號郵寄財團法人弘揚社會道德文教基金會受理，以郵戳為憑︰
1.申請表。
2.師長推薦書（請載明學生家境、孝親及就學狀況）。
3.學生證正/反面影本或在學證明正本，貼於證件黏貼表。
4.前一年度全學年(含上、下學期)成績單正本或蓋學校章戳之成績單影本。
5.中低收入戶、低收入戶證明或相關清寒證明影本。
6.蒐集、處理及利用個人資料告知暨同意書。
7.學生名冊/匯款資料表。
(三)申請表請各推薦學校自行繕印，或上教育部「圓夢助學網」下載。
(四)應屆畢業生(於105年畢業升國中、高中者)，煩請由原畢業學校代為辦理獎助學金申請、轉發等作業。
(五)前述資料未備齊者將視為無效件處理，不再通知補件及退件，並取消其申請資格。
(六)審查由財團法人弘揚社會道德文教基金會評審小組進行審查。
(七)錄取名額為高中職、國中、國小各選拔20名，合計60名為原則；又獎助名額及金額，財團法人弘揚社會道德文教基金會得視情況需要機動調整。
(八)未獲頒本獎助學金者，不予退件。

For the past few decades, our school has built a solid academic foundation for the community and nurtured innumerable talented children who turn into the backbone of society. The campus is located in the heart of Hualien City with easy accessibility to many places in downtown. Most of the parents of our pupils work in business, industry, military, public, and education sectors, and all of them highly value their children’s education. The number of students peaked in 1984 with the total of 854 pupils, and the number for classes reached the highest point of 24 in 2002.
